freshwater baths

I would like to gather opinions about how safe/effective fresh water baths are for treatment of disease in marine fish. Plus, is anyone can help to instruct me on how to properly perform a fresh water bath I would appreciate it as well.

I would only use them as a last resort. Way too stressful if done incorrectly. Hyposalinity is a much better choice.

i have used freshwater dips to get rid of black ick. I was very careful and have never lost a fish to doing it. THe above steps are the way i was taugh to do it.

Thnx I will look into it further. I was looking for it in relation to "Black Ick" Any ideas of another way to treat it. CopperSafe seemed to have no effect.
