Is it good to always do a freashwater dip on corals you order over the net?
And what is a freshwater dip I meant i know its freshwater, but like just Ro water in a bucket? Ive never freshwater dipped any of my stuff so Im just wondering? What should the temp be in the water etc... Just want to learn a little something new?
Also I know you can do it on fish to.. So is it the same for them also?

I did a bunch of research and there seems to be nothing set in stone. What I did was 10 minutes in RO water in a seperate small bucket. I placed the small bucket in my sump to acheive the same temp. I also put some buffer in there to get the same PH. Then I shook the corals a bit or you can lightly blast with a turkey baster 2-3 times through out the 10 minute dip. Some things might need to be physically removed by pliers or tweezers. I also did half the reccomended dose of Tropic Marin coral cure dip. It is Iodine and will kill bacteria, parasites, fungal infections, and flat worms. I saw nothing harmful, but with all the aquaculturing going on now it's not a bad idea.
