I know, I know, this is a saltwater board, but I cant find anywhere that has good info on these creatures. Does anyone know anywhere that would have good info on freshwater ray captive care?

Most FW rays are much more hardy than SW rays. And are banned in many states. So check that out as well.

Well 3 of my local (and quite large) stores all sell them quite frequently, so I dont think that theyre illegal. But I will be sure to check. Any additional info on the subject is still very helpful. Thanks.

The further north you go, the more lax the state by state laws are. I know in texas there are only a couple fw rays that are legal. Due to the strong possibility of them being transplanted. But up north with colder water, that takes care of unwanted transplants.

Well, I live in Northern Maryland. If anyone knows about the specific species of freshwater rays, I have been looking into the Motoro. Any opinions on that?
