so my friend has a freshwater with couple African cichlids; both fish have some kind of fish tail decay and my guess is there going to die without treatment( i didnt tell him that) but with a high copper level help with his situation> <<>? IK this isnt a freshwater form but i though it would be something different.

Tell your friend to do some research on Fin Rot. Typically a bacterial infection and or an indication of other problems as well. Fungal diseases are treated with antibiotic treatments, not copper. But I would be checking for parasites as well.
Edit: I've also kept african cichlids for a few years. They can be very aggresive towards eachother. I've had fish attach other fish by chewing their fins off. He might want to make sure it's not an aggression issue before he treats them with anything.

Ok thanks.. I've noticed that it started with one cichlid( also looks puffy/inflamed) and is now moved on to his other cichlid, but I'll be sure to tell him and hope for inprovment.
