Friend or Foe in the tank?

I found these small bug like creatures in my reef tank, they almost look like small shrimp are gray in color and are about an eighth inch big. Does anyone have any suggestions about what these are, if they are good or bad, and possibly how to get rid of them if they are bad?

Sounds like amphipods. Look here:

sounds like pods. they r good food for fish and corals.

That is great to hear, they are amphipods I looked at pictures. Does that mean that my tank is thriving and doing well then, and I don't have to worry about them?
