friend wants a emperor and a volitan lion

my friend wants to get a emperor angel juvi and a small volitan lion in his 180. but he has herd that the angel will pick at the lions fins. is this true even if you put the lion in before the angel.

I have a 7" Queen and a 9-10" Volitan in my 240g with no problems at all yet. My tank is the same as the 180 just 2' longer.
They have only been together 1 month but the only person the Angel chases in the tank is my Aussie Tusk.
I was worried about it as well, but so far so good. I say go for it. Just get a slightly smaller Angel.

Yes, Angels are known to pick at lions, it will just depend on the fish, I have never combined the two myself. If an angel is added, just watch the situation, keep a close eye on the Lions fins, see if they are getting picked at, even if it does not happen tomorrow it may in a year. Just never get to comfortable with the combination.
