frog spawn lighting

Ok i have a 55 gallon long. I currently am planning on getting a frog spawn in the near future. My problem is i have a single strip light. I dont plan on getting any other corals (its for my clowns) so i need to know what lights or bulb for my single strip i would need in order to support a frog spawn.
Thanks i hear you guys are the best

No, it will not. Frogspawns require medium to strong lighting. It's possible under PCs...but t5 or metal halides would be best. Definitely not a single strip light, don't waste money on the frogspawn until you get new lighting.

I concur. Definitely not enough light for frogspawn.
A 260w PC fixture would probably be the least expensive route. I would say this is the bare minimum for the frogspawn you want.

No to thread-jack here, but will they actually grow under this light? The 4x65 PC? What would you put in there, all 10k or 10k and actinic? This would be enough for zoos/palys and mushrooms, though, right?

It would grow, but not nearly as fast as if it were under T5 or halides. You'd still have restrictions with keeping other things under the PC, might as well spend the few extra bucks and go T5 or halide right off the bat.
