Frogspawn care help

I just came back from my LFS and apparently I won a frogspawn in their monthly deal thing. My tanks cycle just finished and I just bought my CUC.
Where should I put my frogspawn? any ideal places? would it survive after the cycle just finished? if not, i'll give it a friend of mine who has an established tank, but I would like to keep it if there's hope for it.

Hah! They shouldn't have given a frogspawn to someone who doesn't know how to take care of it. That's like giving someone a pet iguana... you don't know how to take care of it. Irresponsible on the live fish stores part.
Anyways, now that my rant is over, you should go ahead and take it to someone with a more established tank for the time being. Frogspawn need lots of light, lots of flow, and an established tank in order to survive.

Yeah, I might give to a friend of mine, I accepted it because if I wasn't able to keep it, I could always give it to a friend.
Someone here told me that my lights were enough for a frogspawn and mushrooms. I have a 29g biocube with the stock lights. But still, I'll give it away and maybe take it back later when my tank get's well established. Thanks!

Frogspawn will do fine under PC lighting (what your Biocube has) just make sure to put it up high. I am sure a few people will jump on me and say thats bad advice... I have seen frog spawn under PC lighting for over 5 years and its still living and looks amazing, full of color. regardless of what they say it will be fine under PC lighting, just see if they will hold off for another month or so, unless you have to claim it in a certain time period...

Unfortunately I had to bring it with me right away. I plan on upgrading to a 150w sunpod next week, so the light might not be an issue. What worries me is that my tank just finished it's cycle and I'm not sure if it'll make it or not. Like I said I could always take to a friend's 120g and keep it there, but if I could I would like to help it make it

Ya I would let it get established for a little while then. as long as you have someone that will hang on to it for you then your all set. I know aroudn me frogspawn doesnt go for that much (about $15-20) per head. so even if your friend kills it... well we wont think that way lol

Yeah that's what I was thinking. The good news is that I get my sunpod tomorrow
at least I'll be able to provide them more light later on

I kept my Frog spawn under a coralife light with 2-36 watt bulbs for a year and it did great. I just recently switched to a 250w 20k metal halide and it has looked like crap ever since.
