frogspawn turning brown

I bought a little piece of frogspawn the other day for $5. I put it in my aquapod with PC lights and now it is turning a bit brown around the base of it. should i be worried? it seems to open up just fine. My 2 thoughs are, either not enough light or too much. it is just about at the top of the tank about 3" from the surface.

Does it look like a slimy brown is covering the coral, or is it just the actual tissue turning brown?

it just seems like the tissue is taking on a brownish tint. it still opens and looks happy. However the guy at the LFS today told me that if it is open it should be ok. what do you think? could it be algea?
