had to go with zanclus because his pic is just about the only one that shows what the animal really looks like. too many closeups not showing the true animal

a crisp clear close up is hat I would want to see ifim purchasing an animal. something that is not being distracted by the background of the photo.

i think Bronco's is a combination of a great picture that shows the beauty of frogspawn along with what the customer can expect to be getting from the site (as compared to zanculus's which is gigantic!!!)
btw...i thought corals werent supposed to be voted on until the 26th or something like that (according to the schedule)

yeah I was surprised to see the frogspawn voting up too. as gonna shoot and addmy candy coral. oh well.

thats why I posted a close uip and the whole animal yet I'm still losing

I dunno, I have been shooting photos for some time now and usually know whats good to sell products since thats primarily what I do when it comes to photos...I shoot product photos and action/live events. Close ups that show detail are usually what people want so thats what I shoot. Surprised my photo is as far behind as it is. A lot of the photos are good though.

This contest is marketing 101. The links to the Saltwater fish pictures are to the open page listing all offerings and you have to search through the list to find the one to compare to instead of linking directly to the page with the picture. Everyone is viewing items they may or mostly may not have. Entice a new potential buyer? IMO it would be more effective if the WEB pages were built dynamically with only in-stock items. The Wish list is good if it's used to stock items they currently don't have, but as a buyer I don't want to have to wade through and search for in-stock. If I want something they don't have, then I would ask to special order, same as a LFS. Listing items you don't have may entice the potential buyer to look elsewhere to get something SWF provided information and pictures of items not in stock.
IMO a wide shot of a product showing what it could look like in your tank - ( like beer, cosmetics, and car industries - Beautiful people) and a close-up would work. Actually for me WYSIWYG is what I like...

Looks like I won this contest. Thanks everyone for your votes. There are a lot of great photos out there lets keep votong ,This is so cool...Oh and The frogspwan in the picture grew to over 60 heads in 14 months from a 2 head frag. Feed lots of DT's oyster eggs they love it.

and congrats to zanclus as well.
the reason mine would win is because on all the frogspawns they are green spots with brown tissue, mine is green spots with clear tissue. pretty hard to find.
