They like bright to med light . They also will supplement with cyclopeeze, marine snow and such, they can be agressive to other corals watch sweeper tenticles, very pretty addition to tank, grows qiuck and very hardy to frag, Good Luck

Someone gave me 5 heads of frogspawn and they did not seem to like being placed so high up in the tank after the halides were installed. I moved them down lower and angled them down and they seem to be doing very well now. I use marine snow and DT oyster eggs but I will squirt some mysis in them when I am feeding other things. I have read that if the sweeper tentacles come out, they are hungry!

Just a gentle current, nothing that beats on them. Frogspawn can get light shocked so if theres a differance in lighting from LFS to DT then should be light aclimated IMO.

I assumed that my case was lack of light acclimation. There was also stronger current than needed. I read that if the current was too strong that the sweeper tentacles would come out to look for food. I never saw that (and I have seen how long they can get) so I didn't think the current was much of a problem. After they are in there current placement for awhile, I may move them back up and if they don't open quite as well, I will assume it's due to the current.

Healthy Frogspawn should open fully to where its hard to see between the heads...They dont have sweeper or feeding tenticals like brains ect. only the long branching colortiped ones.

I have two that are in a 90 gallon, 940 watts of lighting. Both are doing very well but I did do some remodeling to the tank last week, now the golden frogspawn is under a power head and occationally thumping with the current, I'm thinking I will need to move it cause its not opening as much as it did before moving it. Anyway here they are. Oh and I feed mine mysis shrimp, oyster eggs and even flake food.
