I used the garlic in the beginning. dont know what to do...i was just wondering if they get it from frozen food? because i remember reading a bottle of medicine once, and it said to use it like once a month, if you feed frozen???

Well, I have never heard that one, but the more likely reason that you can't get rid of the ick is because you did not use the copper at the correct dosage levels for long enough.
I would suggest, instead of using copper for ick, that you try hyposalinity. If you will do a search on the subject, you will find much information on this treatment and how to implement it. If you require personal assistance with implementing this, we'd be glad to walk you thru it.

i may agree, that it is possible to carry it but i would have ot believe that being a parasite(and unprotected from freezing(like a cyst or anything), i would think that it would be very very dead
i would more than likely agree with beth, or the fact, that if you did not thaw it well befor efeeding, maybe it upset some fish(the shock), stress is one of the biggest contributors to ick
