Fry question

How long does a male carry the fry before releasing them? I have had my ponies 2 weeks today and he was very fat when I got him.

It depends on the species. Usually around fourteen days but could go up to twenty one days. Temps make a difference also. We keep our northern erectus at 72, so they give birth about every seventeen days.

Well I have had him for 14 so I guess I should have babies any day!!! Is there any signs I should look for?

my male was very laid back and I would always find him hitched near a leaf or something to kinda hide him a bit....he was very slow and didnt go far then boom he had 10 babies!

Nope, no babies yet.

I though he was having them this morning, he was twitching but then I saw my little girl twitching too so I don't know what they were doing. Flirting maybe?

I took a video of them, I haven't loaded it to my computer yet, I will post it if the video is any good.

Titan does that a day or so before he pops. An don't be surprised if you male is pregnant again by sundown.

i had one that did this for a few months....it can also happen if the seahorse swallows air, and cant get it out, because thats what happened to mine. he eventually died. =(
