would a fu manchu be happy in a 75g? i believe the max length is around 4-5in. i know they can be hard to acclimate but i thought i would ask anyway.

Well yes, it all depends on what else will be housed with this fish. If you are getting one from your LFS have them hold it for 7 - 10 days before bringing it home, these do not ship well. They can be very shy, if you have the LFS hold it for you, you can start the weaning process at your LFS.
Take in your own food, buy ghost shrimp from them to feed, try mysis to start. It may take time to wean but at least you will have a smaller tank to try in.
Many LFS will work with you, I have been working with a beautiful Cowfish at my LSF for the past few weeks, well 3 days ago it finally ate, and it will be coming home with me in about 9 days. But in the mean time I take in my own food and greens.....
I have done this with a few Lions and they were not even for me......

it will most likely be the only fish in the tank. maybe a kole and a pair of maroon or clarki clowns. i just have always loved the look of this fish and have an extra tank now.

ive had fu manchu for two months now, awesome lil guy, it was really hard to get him to eat but he finally ate silversides. used a whole lot of garlic tho, hehe oce when my lfs ran out of garlic i bought a clove of garlic, crushed it, took the juice andpoured it on the food, well then every1 in the tank went nuts. i call him dancer cuz he comes out on the sandbed evry once in awhile and crouches down and just like moves evrything, fins, tail, spines, it hilarious.
