Fuge or Wet/Dry??

I'm currently running a wet/dry with a protien skimmer, but was thinking of adding a refugium to control nitrates a little better......would this be over kill?

Hey,
I'm a big believer in refugiums and think they are the best filtration system you can have. I would go for it!
