fuge question

I am getting red slime algea growing on my culpera.I have removed it a few times but it just grows back.It does not grow in my reef tank just in the fuge.i use a 175 watt metal halide on 5 hours a day and 2- 40 watt actinics that are on 10 hours a day. all of my water peramiters are ok. my water flow inj the fuge is about 150 gpm. any help or opinion would be great.thanks sage!!!!

The actinics probably are not doing much for your caulerpa - I really think of them as more of an aesthetic lighting option for corals. Your real photo period (MH) is pretty short, I would increase from 5 to atleast 8, maybe 10 hrs.
