fuge questions

i have a fuge starting to come along. What is the flow rate i should use? i have a 55 gal.. acrlyic tank.. i also don't really know how i'm gonna get the water down there. My tank has a built in wet/dry and skimmer.. i don't know a whole lot about fuge's so any help would be nice. what kind of alage should i use..?

I too just finished my fuge and everything is coming along fine except that I now have to drill the return to eliminate the back siphon that would cause a flood in my living room. I cannot believe that I did it on my own ( of course not entirely on my own because I got valuable help from here and this person replying to you) It is great so far I have a Rio 2100 as the return and it i sdoing fine. My advice to you is keep coming here these guys have an enormous amount of information to share and I have found it all to be of assistance. keep the questions coming and you will enjoy this hobby to the fullest.
