full frontal pics

could all you fine ppl out there post some full frontal pics of you tanks, stands and hoods for me. i am planning on building my own stand and hood, but i need insperation. lol i am really handy wood worker so if it is a complex stand its ok. i just cant justify me payinf over 250 dollars for a stand and over 100 dollars for a hood i can make. and it will probably look just as good

I don't think he was being rude, I bought the skimmer from him. He was just making a comment I think. I could be wrong though.

I'm not finished yet... but here is a series of pics of the stand and canopy I'm building for my 120 (it's not the greatest craftmanship... but it's the first time of worked with wood in about 26 years!):

Hope these helped Zap... I made my stand a bit taller (37") than what's normally out there in retail because I wanted it more at eye level. I've probably spent around $250-$300 in material, but I bought oak plywood and trim. You could probably cut that expense in half by using birchwood pine.

thnx a bunch scott. your right about the hieght of your tank. the tallest one i have seen is 30 inches. i was planning on using oak ply for the sides and real oak planks for the front facia. and buying premade oak doors from lowes. but since i have posted this i have seen a stand called sedona series oak stand on the drs. $%^&^$ and smith website. i like that because it also has drawers. so i like the idea of that also. this is my wifes whole baby, she will "allow" me to have a swf tank but it has to match the home decore completly. lol. and if i or i should say she doesnt like it i will return it to them. if i need to go back to my origanal plan of making a stand i will have to submit the blue prints to the ultimate comander lol. and thanx again for the reply
