Funny Clown Story.

This is kind of a bad thing,But when all was done I had to LAUGH. I got a 7inch Yellow face gobie this last friday. After floating the bag and all that I set him loose in my 125. He is a pretty slow swimmer, but was checking out the tank, and doing his best to clean my crushed coral substrate. Then my three inch Allards clown fish spotted him. He swam over and looked at him for a second, then grabbed him by his side fin. The gobie didnt fight at all as this clown, almost half his size dragged him across the tank. Before I could react, the clown stuck him in his LARGE carpet anemone. I got the gobie out as fast as I could, but an hour later he was gone. Like I said,It's kind of sad. But you had to see it to believe it. I ended up feeding the dead gobie to the carpet anyway.I figure the value of that anemone just appreciated by $27.00. Oh,I forgot about the $17.00 cleaner shrimp that the last I saw of was two white tennicals as they dissapeared into his mouth. I know it is our goal to try to duplicate a real ocean enviroment,But I think I may be getting TOO CLOSE. NEVER A DULL MOMENT STEVE

Awesome story, Both my Ocellaris clowns are very comical also. VERY entertaining. I wish I could get my clowns to take to an anemone. My Sebae always climbs to the bottom of the tank and crawls under a rock. What type of carpet do you have and what kind of lighting. Does it stay put, climb up or down??
Thanks, Don
Maybe mine will stay out when my ice caps change my wattage from 120 watts to 640 watts.

Hey DON,He moves around a little.Never more than six inches or so.He pretty much likes the corner he's in. My lighting is always changing.Right now I have two 48' No 40watt flo's.One coralife 20,000K daylight and one blue actinic. And one 175watt Metal halite. I have one more MH on the way.Should have it by friday. Check out my tank at http://mrsalty.homestead.com/page1.html STEVE
