hey guys and guls, im planning on moving some of my fish in my 65g to a 29g nano. The current livestock in my 65g FOWLR tank is as follows
:FISH:
-an adult foxface
-a clarkii clown
-a YWG
-and a 3 stripe damsel
:INVERTS:
-a Coral banded shrimp
-2 Astrae snails
-2 unknown kinds of snails listed as turbo snails at LFS they are white with black blotches and are each about 1 1/2 long
-an arrow crab ( got him for free because he is missing one large claw and another leg.)
-one scarlet hermit
I'd like to move the clarkii and YWG to a 29g nano which i hope to be a full reef
My question is what other stock can i add in the 29g nano? I've always been interested in a pistol shrimp paired with my YWG..Anyways tell me what would be a good Pistol shrimp and what would go along good with the clarkii+YMG+pistol.

Your plan sounds pretty good so far. You shouldn't have any problems going to a reef with those fish. Your clown might even host in one of your corals when you get them.
For a fish to compliment the other two I'd try something like a firefish. Three small fish will give you a lot of interesting motion without taxing the bioload on your tank.
For a pistol shrimp I'm a big fan of the Randall's pistol shrimp. They stay smaller than most other pistols which is nice in a nano. They also have really interesting patterns and a lot of colors.
Your goby should be compatible with just about any of the commonly available pistols though, so pick the one you like. Just be aware that trying to get them to pair up isn't always successful. Sometimes they take to each other in no time, and sometimes they never do. I've even seen a pistol attack the goby that was trying to get friendly with it.

GRabbitt An adult foxface might not handle 29 gallons too well...
He ment he was going to keep the foxface in the 65.
