Fuzzy dwarf in 12G

saw some nice colored fuzzy dwarfs in my LFS. Ive always wanted one. Right now my 12G has a 2" false perc clown and a large cleaner shrimp. Im wondering how the lion will do in this tank... is my perc or shrimp in any real danger? The lions are about 2 1/2" and the 12G would only be a temporary home since im in the middle of a 40G breeder build. i have experience with larger lions since my father has a 15" volitans in his 110G but can the dwarfs open their mouths as big relative to their size? as long as i keep him well fed will there be peace?

your clown should be fine but he will propably eat your shrimp, and yes they can open their mouths very wide just like a volitan

fuzzy dwarves are easy to come by. that being said, i would wait until you have your new tank set up, for the shrimp's sake and for the sake of the lion.

If you have your heart set on that dwarf, and your tank is close to being set up, then try and see if your LFS will hold onto one for you. Some LFS will usually hold onto a fish if you are a month or two from having your tank up and running.
Or, if you live close to/with your dad, you could see if he will let you keep the lion in there untill your tank is ready. Especially if he already has a tank with lions in it.
