I have a 72 gallon tank with a baby huma huma trigger, large yellow tang, and an orange tail damsel. My orange tail damsel always bothers the huma huma by flaring out his tail and smack him in the face. If I was to put a small species of lion fish in the tank and the damsel did the same thing to the lion, would the damsel receive a fatal sting by touching him?

Most likely NOT.
Lions are quite passive fish and have to be provoked to the point of attack before they would sting anything. i hav had lions get picked on by angels to the point of denuding fins and the lions still try to run away. Lions use the spines as defensive weapons
