Fuzzy Dwarf peeling?

A few minutes ago I noticed my Fuzzy Dwarf Lion was swimming around and some white stringy stuff started peeling of its skin. Is this a sign that my lion has ich or some other parasite? What should I do to stop this?

Not sure if this is correct but I have heard this happen to a lionfish before. The cause was ammonia due to a dead fish not removed from the tank. Have you checked your water perameters?

I am leaning towards inproper diet. What are you feeding it? What are the other inhabitants and what size and age of tank?

I have seen many lionfish do this. It has never harmed the lion which has done it, or any other fish in the tank.
I think this is the lion "shedding his skin" that Bob Fenner refers to in his book.
