FW dip live rock

my live rock has got a lot of hair algae and diatoms even after i did a 50 gallon water change in a 75 gallon tank. Its only been a few days and the algea does seem to be going away slowly but i dont think it will be gone forever.
If i were to dip all my rocks in freshwater, would that kill the diatoms and the hair algea? Im guessing it would kill my coraline as well though......

whats ur water parameters? are you using tap water or ro water?
