Are there any suggestions on breeding fancy guppies in a 55 gallon? Substrate is aquarium gravel and the filtration is a hang-on Millenium 300. Any suggestions on keeping them living and disease-free. What PH is required? A whole tank was lost due to what I believe to be fin-rot. I ask for my uncle, not myself, so please help, as I don't want him to waste any of his money, if it was myself I wouldn't mind, but I don't want his money wasted. T4AH

Your setup sounds ok. Breeding guppies is quite easy. One suggestion that might be helpful is to quarantine your fish for a couple of days before putting them into the 55 gallon. The pH for guppies should be around 7.0-7.2
