DO NOT MESS WITH ITS HOST!!
I actually bought a small marron clown several months ago along with a bubble coral just because it was already hosting it. Well I put the coral on this ledge in my tank and he has been loving itl. Later I tried to add another coral on the ledge and that coral was on the sand bed a fw days later. I just chaulked it up to a big snail knocking it over but I still moved it just in case the clown was the culptrit. Well I noticed over time that the clown has gotten very protective over the bubble coral and doesn't like anything coming near his area.
I got some frags in today and I placed one of them on his ledge with the intent of just acclimating the new coral. Well 3 hours later I actually saw the clown swatting his tail until the frag went away but his tail also got the bubble coral and they both went down to the sand. SO I now know not to put anything on "his" ledge. Glad my kids were not around because I cursed him to high heaven!!
