Just so you know I received the light today. Its a total piece of garbage. I had to rewire the entire pendant including the ceramic insert. All the wires that went to the ceramic bulb socket were hanging by a thread and cracked. The grommet that is supposed to hold the wires in place was cracked. After I did all that the light still wouldn't work right. It would power up for about 30 seconds then die. So I replaced the bulb. Still did the same thing. So I had an electrician that is a friend of mine check it out and the ballast is bad. So basically the light is useless. Not asking for my money back. My fault for buying so fast sight unseen and not asking any questions or doing any research. And you did say you knew nothing about metal halide lighting so I doubt you knew anything was wrong. My bad so to speak. Just wanted to let you know. Lesson learned by me watch out what I buy used.
