Was wondering if anyone has had any experience with them, I am worried a friend in the hobby has told me to get rid of it or be willing to lose a coral every now and then is this true?

they can have LONG sweepers, so yea, give it at least 12-18"

i have a galaxia in my tank and i can say that they have VERY long sweeper tenticles...18 inches may be a little much though...i would say to give about 8-12 inches...

I've got one in mine and I do have it completely separated from others. Beautiful coral.

I almost bought a tiny one, maybe an inch it diameter if that. Bought my duncan instead but I hear they can get long. Just put it in a secure area of the tank and hope it doesnt touch anything.

i have a very small galexia...maybe 2"X1"...and the sweepwers extend about 4 inches...
