gallon size of acrylic tank?

I just got a hexagonal acrylic tank. It is 19" tall, and had a diameter of 72" from "tip to tip". Tip, meaning the pointy joint of two sides. All six sides are symmetrical. I was wondering how manny gallons this is. I figured the surface area of a circle with a radius of 36, then times height divided by 231. This came out to about 250gal. I was wondering if there was any way to get an exact figure, since it has six flat sides, and is not round. Thanks,
Adam

Here ya go:
If the tank is 72" accross from point to point on all points then the following is true.
The tank is basically 6 equilateral traingles of 36" a piece. Therefore the width of a side is 36 ".
Area of 1 of these traiangles is 1/2 36 * 31.17 = 561
All of the (the bottom) 561 *6 = 3366
The tank is 19 " tall so the volume is 3366 * 19 = 63,954 sq in
to convert to gallons is 63,954 / 231 = 276.8571
So it is approx 277 Gallons!
Hope that helps :)
Also not sure how you came up with 250 gallons I came up with 335 for a cylindircal tank with a diameter of 72"
