I have a 55 gallon aquarium with 3 powerheads and 2 filters, which makes it 900 gph. is that enough for corals like leathers, polyps, mushroom and a few other soft corals?
What power heads and what filters do you have? I think that would help someone answer your question.
I beleive the rule of thumb is atleast 20x. I always go a little beyond.
I always end up with more flow than 20x. the tank 'moves better' overall and the corals love the extra flow.
as long as you have powerheads pointing in different directions and not linear where they are constantly beating up one side of the coral you should be fine. The corals will let you know if its too much flow
I think you need more.. but also, it depends on your setup and equipment.
