who has read the books. Are they any good. i need something that will keep my interest which is hard with my taste in books. lol
Just finished the Land of painted Caves. 6th book in a series by Jean Auel
I also just bought Shogun for my Nook.

I haven't read the books but the series on HBO is getting really good. People really seem to like the books though.

One of the best series of books I have ever read, and I have read just about everything there is in the High Fantasy genre. HIGHLY recommend them, especially if you are watching the show. They are doing a great job so far on the show but there is so much more in the books that they just cant convey on TV. This season of the show is based on a book that is somewhere around 800 pages long...

+1 on the books. I read them all except the last one. The author George Martin really makes the land and events come alive, even the food is described so you can almost taste it. Can wait to see how it ends on the TV series.

i have read all of the books and they are outrageous. i even have a dance with dragons on preorder.
