Garden eels!!!!!!!

i was about to purchase one garden eels will it be ok in a 55 reef or will it eat my fish?

Your fish will be fine, but garden eels do much better when they are kept in groups.

True, to what everyone else has said.
They're best kept in a high flow current tank, in groups, in a species only tank. If kept with free swimming tank mates, they'll never get food.
You also need to have a deep sand bed (3/4 the length of the specimen), for them to survive.
