They are both appetite stimulants ONLY. If you want the medicinal qualities of garlic, which also enhances the appetite, use fresh garlic. It costs about a dollar, or so, for a bulb. Look at the Common Treatments FAQ in Disease and Treatment for the benefits of fresh garlic and how to prepare it.

why is one 3x the pric of the other if they are the same ?
in addition i treated a full tank with fish with terrible Ick with garlic extreme and specialized diets and not one living thing died. so its more than just an appetite enhancer i speak from experience with all do respect copper hypo not the only way to treat ick..might be the only way to kill it but fish can live with Ick for 7 years...if treated properly. just my opinion and based on experiences.

The difference is in the consentration.
The garlic guard is more watery, but the garlic xtreme is only to be used up to 2 drops per feeding. You need to shake the xtreme to mix the watery and more solid content together and then you use the dropper to take out the amount that you are needing.

The active ingredient in garlic, allinin, breaks down quickly and cannot be bottled. Therefore, bottled garlic=bottled garlic. No reason to pay more than you have too.
