whats with the phosphoric acid? You arent trying to feed them garlic. You just wanna soak the food in the juice of the garlic.. thats where the power is! In ThE JuIcE!

Well if you have a jar of garlic with other stuff in there.. I dont know that i'd use that stuff..
If you get >FRESH< garlic just peel off all the skin and if you have a garlic press then you'll have a easier time... if not just dice the garlic as fine as possible and smash it to get as much of the juices out of it as possible and just mix in your food with it. It wont hurt a fish if he eats some garlic, but its not a great idea to give a fish too many large chunks of it.
If you want a much easier time... just get some 'garlic extreme' or similiar product that is meant for using with fish. Its all juice and saves you from wasting your mothers garlic ;)

For an easy way to make garlic juice crush up several cloves of garlic into a very small container - I use the single serving salad dressing cups, about 1oz. Add some RO/DI water and place in your fridge. Within several days you will have highly concentrated garlic juice. no need for a garlic press or trying to squeeze what little "juice" a single clove contains. A cheaper alternative to buying specialty garlic juice from a LFS.
When it is time to fed pour some of the juice onto the food and let soak. Drain before feeding.

Allicin is naturally produced when garlic is damaged or crushed. The allicin is the active ingrediant that is thought to help fish fight disease.
Definately crush or slice your own garilc cloves. I slice them paper thin then lay them in the bottom of a dish with a few drops of water then put the food on top of them. Later, after soaking--I flush the food with a ball sucker then squirt it into the tank.
I think the garlic also increases their appetitte. My Tangs have eaten most of my hair algae after a couple weeks of feeding garlic.
