garlic VS ick!

Hello. quick question. Is it too late to use the garlic trick on a fish where signs of ick are allready clearly visible? Like, what if ick is seen on the fish's fins. How effective is the treatment? Has anyone succesfully cured an ick problem using only garlic juice? Im just interested, cuz if it does really work (not like copersafe and formalite 2!!) ill go to the grocery store imediatly! Thanks in advance

Treating with garlic only at this stage, where ick is visable on the fish, will not be all that effective.
Also, I would not use copper or formaldahyde to treat ick. If you have a FO setup, then use hyposalinity.

I've used garlic twice now on 2 different fish where both of them had visible signs of ick and it worked both times.
I soaked frozen food in garlic juice for a while and then feed the fish with the garlic soaked food.
