Garlic!!!!

Ok, I went to my LFS and they didn't have any garlic suplements and I want feed my hippo tang garlic, to hopefully avoid him gettin ich. Can I do this with fresh garlic. He currently eats mainly flake food. I was wondering If I could just crush some fresh garlic in with the flake food and feed it to him. Any info would be great!

I used garlic in a jar from my local grocery store.
I soaked frozen food in the juice.
I have used this method twice now and it worked both times.

i use kyolic, from gnc, it is only about 15$ a bottle and goes a long way, without any oily residue,
only use it every 2 weeks, and only use it as a preventative, do NOT rely on it as a cure, it MAY helpin some milder cases, but you still should quarentine if you have a problem, i do use it and am not displeased, but i stil have a tank ready for hospitalization
