I have a question... I just started using garlic when I feed my fish but I noticed the smell is still in the water and I fed them hours ago... will the smell go away? or am I doing something wrong? thanks in advance

u might be adding to much try cutting the dosage bak a little

Yes, you might be adding too much. Then again, you may just need to change your carbon or add a bag to your sump. Garlic is a potent odor, and I know when I personally eat food with garlic in it, my body will reak of it for at least a day or two.
