The best way is to retain the juice of the garlic. I use fresh garlic mince it as much as I can in a small container and then put the food in that container. Mix it up good with the garlic. You can serve up the food an hr later, but not the chunks of garlic.

Sorry, but that is not a very good diet. Take a look at the vast variety of froozen foods that are available when you go to the LFS for the brine and give some a try. Alternatively, you may want to consider fresh seafood. I have a suggestion sample receipe in the FAQ Thread.
Using the fresh food that I suggest, you can actually put garlic in the food processor with the rest of the food and store the food when preped.
