(sorry about the double post, but I really don't want this fish to die)
I don't know what's the matter with it?? I bought it yesterday.. It's "gasping" for want of a better word.. She won't eat either..
Ammonia: 0ppm
Nitrite: 0ppm
Nitrate: 0ppm
Salinity: 1.022 (halfway between 1.021 and 1.022)
Temp: 80*F
pH: 8.0
I waited until all the tests checked out at zero before I added anything more.. Is it the pH?? What can I do??
Thanks for any and all help

I'd had (she died last nite) the fish a little less than two days.. There are no other fish in the tank that have exhibited any problems.. The store's tank water is at a pH of 8.2 and at a salinity of 1.023.. Those are the only things that were different.. I acclimated the fish 20min in the bag for temp adjustment and 1/2 cup of water in the bag every 20min or so until the bag was full.. It's the exact same thing I did when I added my chromis and they are happy as clams..
I'm curious as to what the purpose would be of doing a large water change and dropping the salinity in the tank?? The water parameters are all at 0ppm and that's even after rechecking the water this morning.. The other fish and inverts are not sick or gasping.. Wouldn't dropping the salinity stress them as well??
I appreciate your help..
