Just got my first anemone, a green bubble tip. It found a home in less than two hours and when I woke up this morning my clarkii clown was already hosting. How awesome? Anyways I was wondering if it is common for them to bring food to the anemone? Mine doesn't seem to be yet although it does chase all the other fish away.

Just let it happen, and if the clown does not feed it and you do not have good lighting then use a turkey baster and supplement feed it or go with sm. pieces of silversides. I know some people insist that you must feed your anemone, in my opinion if its not broken don't fix it. Sometimes attempting to feed an anemone can just pollute your tank. You will know if it starts to shrink. Neither of my anemones are hosted by clowns even though they have clowns in the tank and both get enough feeding with target feeding and light.

Thanks. My clown actually did bring a piece of food to the anemone so that was cool. I have power compacts in a 55 and lfs said that should be fine for bta. Everything is going well as of now, just gonna continue to watch it and look for unusual changes.

PC's may or may not be good enough lighting for a BTA, so your LFS wasn't completely wrong or right. Some people have luck, many other do not.
Anyways, my clowns beat the **** out of my bubble tips and refuse to feed them. I used to spot feed them, for the past 3 weeks I have not, I just let them grab whatever they catch while I'm feeding my fish. Doesn't seem to make a difference whether I target feed or not. The only difference is that I'm not getting bit by my female anymore

Clarkiis normally will feed the nem
