Has anyone used the GE NO bulbs? Do they make a actinic bulb? I currently use 10K and actinic coralife bulbs and am happy with their proformance but when it comes to replacing them all, it costs quite a bit. I noticed the GE bulbs go for about $6 each. :) Is the color about the same as the coralife bulbs?

I have bought a number of the GE bulbs and have been happy with them. I replace all my bulbs in Dec each year and with 10 tanks thats a few bulbs so the price caught my eye when I first saw them advertised. Yes they make the blue ones also and I have some of them and are satisfied with them also. I have tried the coral life bulbs but they were to expensive and to me didn't due any better (I used them for about 5 years till the GE's came out.)

Ok the catalog I use calls them GE Aqua Rays Saltwater Blue and rate them a 10,000K. I use them in double strip lights with the regular white GE which is called GE Saltwater Bulbs. I cannot get them locally (they would rather sell the more expensive bulbs of course) but I have a place you can get them. If you need to know contact me thru homepage and I'll let you know.

I tried one of those $6 dollor bulds from HD that was rated at 5500K. The color was just not right though and I went back to the $20 coral life bulbs
