I think your best bet is to just browse the coral/reef forums. You're asking a very broad question that is likely to not get any responses. Success depends on the tank, equipment, experience and willingness to learn.
You won't get facts from a thread like this, only opinions. And you know what they say about opinions.
I will say this though, if you are unsure where to start. Start with mushrooms. Plain and simple.

suprisingly the coral that has done best in my tank is my monti cap its under pc light had it for almost a month and i have already got a nice frag from it that is growing
