Geo 612 Reactor

I just set up a Geo 612 and I'm having a heck of a time trying to get it "dialed in". I'm using a pH computer and a solenoid. I've read a ton of info over the past few days but still seem to be having troubles. My alkalinity keeps going up. It was suggested that I should increase my effluent rate to bring it down. The problem is when I increase effluent rate the ph in reactor rises. Also any suggestions as to best effluent pH? and I'm assuming that the effluent pH will be the same as pH in reactor chamber correct? Any knowledge would be greatly appreciated.:notsure:

I wouldn't worry about the pH in the reactor. I'd just keep an eye on the effluent pH. Try to set the effluent drip rate so it comes out as a stream rather then a drip...just a little faster then a drip. Set the pH to 7.0 (your probably using ARM for media) and let it run for a few days.
The most important thing is to have a STEADY effluent drip rate. If you got that then the rest is easy.
