german mh bulbs

I was told that these are better than any US made bulb by my lfs.
I am upgrading to mh & told that these are better. Could I use a magnetic ballast?
I'm running 4 - 55w pc's over 100g. I want to put 2 - 250w 10k over the tank w/ the pc's running actinics.

The 250w 10k Ushio are awesome! They are german bulbs.

I think they test the spectrum before shipping. American made are more off the 10k. In other words one may be 8k and the other 12k, put them side by side in your tank and it will look way off. The Germans will be closer to the mark.

and i also have noticed that the ushios (with HQI) will fire in a milla second at the same time. i had problems with USA bulbs took forever and only one side at a time would fire up. ill never switch to anything but german now
