I am really confused in what I should get next or what I should do with several of the current inhabitants of my tank.
Fridmani Pseudochromis
White Stripe Maroon
Yellow Watchman Goby
three hermits and one is getting fairly large
two emerald crabs
I have about 60lbs of live rock in a 30 gallon tank and now using a powerglo bulb. Alge is starting to accumulate pretty well. I'm not looking to house sensile invertibrates yet but I want to build my tank so that when I do move it all to a larger tank, all will be reefsafe. I also don't want to be purchasing livestock and watching it get eaten by others in the tank. The one hermit ate a large turbo snail to take it's shell.
I'm looking at Nudibranches and other things that seem to be quite defenceless. Might it be a wise idea to get rid of the large hermit and the emerald crabs in order to protect my investments?
I'm really looking to increase the asthetics of my liverock. I've been using purple up. I'm thinking of getting some plants or sponges, a linka star, cucumbers, scallops or urchins. What is easy to care for, wont hurt anthing else, looks good etc.
What pays off the most in the end and what are some poor aspects of some of these critters that I should know about before I purchase them?
Thanks.
