hello
I am getting a bigger aquarium. I now have a 10 gallon and will be moving into a 28 bowfront.
My question is will i have to cycle the tank. I am planning to put 10 gallons of the water from the cycled tank for about 6-7 months and and the rest new water. Would it be alright to put the inhabitants in right away i have two fish and a bit of corals at once ?
Also what type of skimers do you people have on 30 gallons. Right now i have a skilter which wont be sufficent enough on a 30 atleast i dont think so.
Thank you

youre probably going to have somewhat of a cycle... i was going to do that with my 12 to 20 upgrade but decided to just start fresh

I agree you will have some cycle- Your talking a big portion of new water.
I personally would leave the 10 running, cycle the 28 completely then add your other fish.
There are tons of HOB skimmers- I have a seaclone 150 and it works pretty good.
You will get lots of suggestions on it though.....
