Getting a phosphate reactor??

I've seen the nautilus ones that are made by kent i think. they're supposed to be the best. You have to put PO4 removing media.

i would invest in an ro/di, if you don't allready have one. what is your water source? how do you have high phosphates?

You don't need a phosphate reactor to use phosphate lowering media, they just work more effectively that way. If you have a power filter, you can run a bag of Phosguard in there.

yep, processed foods!! but not enuf to get high levels(if you're keeping up with water changes). if that was the case i would suggest to soak/untaw the food with water or try different foods...

thanks aot for all the help i am using phosban in my sump but hasnt done the trick since the day before i got my rodi unit it has gone down .15 but is still at .31 anything to do??...i just cant belive it is still that high being that there is no sand in their and havent been feeding more then 1 time every 7-10 days(been doing that for prob 1 month now)

In my experience, the only product I've seen actually lower phosphates is Seachem's Phosguard. I've tried others but that's the one that really worked. Also, make sure the media is placed in a high flow area.
