Getting an established 90 Gal tank

Hey guys,
I'm getting an established 90 Gal tank on Sunday.
The current owner currently has about 50lbs LR with CC, Yellow Tang, Regal Tang, Striped Hawkfish, Serpent Star, and a bunch of blue leg hermits. There's also some green star polyps, and some other corals. Bad things I noticed is that he has a some Aptasia, Green bubble Algae, some brown algae bloom, and a bunch of miniature starfish all over the tank. It's pre-drilled and has a sump and a fluval 403. There's some spray bars and a couple of powerheads also included. There's also a Skimmer in the sump which hasn't been operational for about 6 months (Needs a pump).
I attached a bad picture of what the tank currently looks like.

I'll be moving it from his place to mine on Sunday. I'm replacing the CC with a 4" DSB of white silicate playsand from Home Depot. I already got a rubbermaid trashcan from him which I will be filling with saltwater tonight with a heater and a powerhead for circulation.
I also have a 29 Gal tank that I will fill with his water on sunday to temporarily put the fish while I set up the 90.
I am getting a bunch of rubbermaids to help transfer as much of his water as I can from his place to mine.
He's got some clean pales that we'll be putting the fish, LR and corals in during transport.
Now here's my questions:
Will the tank experience a small cycle since I'm putting new sand?
(I will be thoroughly rinsing the sand before putting it in the 90)
Is a 4" DSB Good enough? Or should I go with a 5" DSB?
The tank measures 48"Wide x 18"Deep x 24"High. I'm thinking getting around 140lbs of play sand. Is this enough?
What am I forgetting? I need help so that I make this the least bit stressful on the fish and me.
Please help.

Congrats Tang. I'm far from an expert here but I have a feeling you're not going to want to add the silicate playsand. It apparently does all sorts of nasty things. I know that someone who knows what he's talking about will jump in here and explain the whys and wherefores but in the meantime please hold off, just in case, by some miracle, I'm correct in this statement.

There are a lot of people with varied opinions regarding silicate sands.
I have decided to go with a silicate sand since it is the only one available in my area. It's even hard to get LS in my area. So I have to make do with what I have access to. I will eventually seed the sand though.
Any help on my other questions? I am concerned about the move.
Thanks.

once you have the tank set up you can get a peppermint shrimp to eat the Aptasia.
since you're putting in new sand I think it would have a cycle...but i'm not sure...
keep the fish in the dark during transport and set up as much as possible to help with stress. would adding stress coat help??
how long with they be out of the tank and in the 29? if the 29 is not cycled you may have to do wc if the fish will be in there for awhile.
there have been a few threads in past on moving fish, they might help.
good luck

Thanks for the info Sinner's Girl,
Does anyone know about my sand and DSB questions?
I'm getting the tank tomorrow, and I want to be ready..
Thanks.

i don't know how deep it should be...but i do know somewhere on here that is answered...i'll see if i can search and find out.
EDIT:
to be a deep sand bed it needs to be 4+ inches, so i'm guessing 4 is good?
