Getting my LR this weekend

Hello all
I have a new 80 gal and I am adding my LR in this weekend. Should I add any nutrients or addititives to help it along? There is nothing in the tank now.

I would not add anything else, just throw in the LR.

Another question, with an 80 gal tank, what size powerheads should go in there? and how many?

That depends on your main pump. For reef, you want around 20 times your tank size.
80 gal X 20 = 1,600 gph flow rate for that tank. I think that right, :notsure: anyone?

that sounds right to me......
maxi-jet makes a real nice powerhead. either the 900 or the 1200. the 900 puts out about 240 gph, while the 1200 does 295. i have 2-900's in my 54g now, and will probably add the other 2 i have in the future w/my wavemaker. also, the 1200's uses a lot more electricity = $$$$$$$$$$$$$
