Hi everyone. I've been gone from this hobby for a little over a year. BUT, I got married on the tenth of this month and got the new wife all moved in. In the process of this I found a lot of my buckets of live rock and all my fish equipment. The rock is of course now dry base rock but i've got probably 75 lbs or so. Still have a bunch of power heads, a couple cheap skimmers, my pc light fixture, and a box of other usual stuff. Anyway, this makes me really miss my tanks. I have to have another one. I had a 46g bowfront, a 16g bowfront and a little 2.5 gal bowfront all running at once. Financial problems and lack of time from switching jobs and other things forced me to take them down. Im taking the 46 to my office and probably just going to make it into a fowlr tank for customers to enjoy while they are there and the 2.5 is just a little cheap walmart tank. Ill probably let the kids play with it and get them a betta or goldfish. That leaves my 16 gallon. I always loved that tank because of its small size and it didnt cost to much to run. Soooo to make a long story short, I want to set the 16 back up in my living room at home and make it into a softieinvert tank with maybe a clown or something else small. My problem is im not really good at the planning stages. I sell used cars for a living and with the economy the way it is money is a huge issue, so id like to keep it simple and use as much of my old equipment as possible. I dont have the time or money to build a sump and buy the pumps and all that. I have 2 seaclone 100 (junk i know, but free) skimmers, a 65 watt 50/50 pc light fixture with led night lights, probably four or five mj 1200, 600 and 400gph power heads, a bucket of salt, a big bag of reef sand and the usual heaters and hob filters and stuff. So I guess what Im looking for is some suggestions on what to keep, what to not keep, and how to set this tank back up on a tight budget at least until things turn around and I can afford to do more. I just really miss the hobby and cant stand to not have anything at all. Id like to see some pics of small bowfront tanks to get some ideas for aquascaping, substrate, livestock, just all different aspects.
Sorry for the long winded post. Like I said, been gone for a while so any suggestionsideas would be very helpful!
Thanks
